The Walker Area Community Center is home to the WHA Wolves and Leech Lake Ice Wolves Hockey as well as the Walker Curling Club. In addition to these clubs, we offer open skating times and a variety of intramural leagues. Click here for the ice schedule.

During our summer months, the WACC Arena hosts a variety of events including Home & Garden shows, Flea Markets and Craft Fairs. Visit our calendar to see what is coming up!

Skate Rental
Skates are available for rent at $1.00 per pair per time. We have a variety of sizes available. We are always accepting skate donations to help build our inventory. Skate donations will receive a one-day pass for use in any of our facilities!

Skate Sharpening
Unlimited Sharpening (per player): $50.00
Punch Card (5 sharpenings): $15.00
Single Sharpening: $3.00

All skates must have a card in them to be sharpened.  There will be no charging.  Minis/Mites will receive one free sharpening at the beginning of the season

Open Skating, Hockey, Old Timers	$5/Day
Skate Card (12 Passes)	$50.00
Card is good for one year from the date of purchase, can be used for open skating ,open  hockey or Old Timers, may be shared. Open ice availability will vary throughout the season.
Prime Ice (3:30 pm – 10:00 pm)	$110.00/Hour + tax
Dead Ice Mon-Fri (8:00 am – 3:30 pm)	$72.00/Hour + tax
Late Night (10:00 pm – 12:00 am)	$135.00/Hour + tax

 

ROOM RENTAL

PRIVATE PARTIES & SPECIAL EVENTS Whether you are planning a social event, fund-raiser, holiday party, wedding reception or any other celebration the Walker Area Community Center can accommodate your needs. We offer both traditional and non-traditional sites to host your event. Choose from the Ringle Library, which is suitable for up to 20 guests and features a fireplace, soft seating and a touch of home or choose the Rotary Room, which is suitable for gatherings up to 250 people. For non-traditional setting, host your event on our multi-sport court, which can be set up to accommodate dinner, dancing and entertainment. Our staff will help you with your food and beverage needs upon request. CORPORATE EVENTS Business meetings, sales rallies, trade shows and employee appreciation events area all possible at our versatile facility. We offer wonderful and unique meeting and reception space. Our staff provide a hands on approach to assure that your event successful. EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAYS Treat your employees and their families to a day of fun. Let us help you design a day of activities for your employees with a slightly competitive edge as they compete as teams or individuals in volleyball, pickle-ball, dodgeball or maybe a puck-shooting contest.
