FITNESS CENTER

The Jack & Gloria Bieloh Fitness Center & Gymnasium has a complete line of cardiovascular, free-weights, assisted lifting machines and other equipment for a safe and effective exercise routine. The most modern exercise systems have been incorporated to optimize your time and workout efficiency. Our gymnasium is 74 'x 50'. We offer a regulation size basketball court.

Included in your membership are men's and women 's locker rooms. Each locker room comes equipped with private showers, lavatory facilities. Lockers are available for an additional charge. Need a snack? No time for lunch? Fuel up on site, before or after your visit. Our vending area offers a wide variety of snacks and beverages. If you need to make change, we’ll be happy to help you out. If you don’t see your favorites, let us know and we will try to accommodate you. Our fitness center hours change by season, so be sure to visit our Contact page for the most current hours.

Memberships Include: 
Daily use of locker and shower facilities, fitness center, gym and walking track, select group exercise and recreational activities.

Cancellation Policy: 
Members wishing to cancel their memberships must have a note from doctor stating the need to cancel or members will be charged 25% of the remaining dues owed.

​

Insurance Benefits: 
Check with your insurance provider.  You may be eligible to receive a $20 refund per month from their carrier. Not all plans are eligible. Members 65 and older with eligible insurance programs may qualify for Silver Sneakers or Silver N Fit.

​

Memberships can be pay via EFT, credit card, cash or check. Electronic cards will become inactive if dues are owed.

​

It is the policy of the Walker Area Community Center to keep member and staff personal information private and confidential.

Cardio Drumming

Cardio drumming is a fun and simple exercise that activates my muscles with drumming movements.  Free with membership, $5/for non-members.

 

Silver & Fit®

Silver&Fit is a fitness and healthy aging program designed to help you achieve better health through regular exercise. The Silver&Fit Programs include membership at a local participating fitness facility, Web site resources and support from Silver&Fit’s toll-free member services hotline and Web site. Members with qualifying insurance can receive a membership for $50 or less depending on their coverage.

Just for Kix

Just For Kix oversees dance team programs in over 150 communities and approx. 18,000 dancers throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Ringle Library

The Ringle Library (pronounced "Ring-Lee") is a quiet place to do your cardio workout and stretching. Room contains stability balls, mats and light dumbbells as well as DVDs to complete a Thai Chi or yoga routine. There is are no TVs or radios. Coffee will be available and it will still serve as a memory celebrating the Ringles.

This library was built in memory of Dr. Ringle and his family wishes that you will use it for your pleasure and enjoyment. In 1931, Dr. Ringle came to Walker from a farm in Southern Minnesota, built a new hospital, a new home and he and his wife Clara had a baby boy - all in the same year! Dr. Ringle served the medical needs of the Leech Lake area for the next 46 years, until he also passed away in 1976.
